Writer-director
Luke Matheny lives in Brooklyn, N.Y.
He grew up in Wilmington, Del., and lived in Chicago
for 10 years.
Since graduating Northwestern University in 1997,
Matheny has worked a wide variety of jobs. The short
list includes copy editor at a TV trade magazine,
warehouse worker at Amazon.com, security guard at
Chicago's most famous popcorn store, reporter at a
small-town Georgia newspaper, and bus driver for the
Cartoon Network.
He wrote and co-directed the comedy feature "A
Place
in France
," which was shot in Paris, France, in 2001.
The film premiered at the Wilmington Film Festival in
March 2004, and the screening was attended by many of
Matheny's close friends and high school teachers.
